Oral Mucositis severely affects my ability to eat

I am being treated with a trial drug called 1062a for stage four non-small cell lung cancer. I have had severe oral mucositis with ulceration in my mouth for the better part of the year now. I have tried numerous remedies. The mucositis severely affects my ability to eat particularly hot foods. The only treatment that seems to help is L-lysine. The drug is keeping my cancer in check so the mucositis is a price I am more than willing to pay.
