My son’s mouth had sores that caused extreme pain and many tears as he tried his best to still eat

My 15 year old son is undergoing chemotherapy treatments for a very rare and very aggressive cancer known as “DSRCT”. The first cycle was with Doxorubicin along with 4 other chemo meds. The mucositis was mild but the 3rd cycle with doxorubicin the mucositis did him in and landed him in the hospital for 13 days in between chemo treatments. The sores on his lips , in his mouth, and throat, and on his tongue and roof of his mouth caused extreme pain along with many tears as he tried his best to still eat and maintain his nutrition.. he ended up losing 12 pounds in those 13 days.
